Police Blotter, June 14 - Akron, OH - The Suburbanite

 

On June 8, a Pickle Road man reported someone entered his apartment through an open window and took a crossbow, four arrows and some loose change. On the same day, a set of skis and poles, valued at $500, was reported stolen from an unlocked van on Ramsey Drive.

A 20-year-old Mayfair Road woman was arrested for assault and criminal damaging June 8. Deputies said she attacked a Tallmadge man and broke a window screen at her apartment complex.

Deputies recovered a stolen car found in a Massillon Road parking lot June 7. The 1992 Honda had been reported stolen in Portage County by a Mogadore man.

An East Turkeyfoot Lake Road man, 27, was arrested June 7 on charges of menacing and disorderly conduct by intoxication. The report said the man was standing in the middle of the road, drunk, trying to provoke people to fight with him.

A Heckman Road man reported someone entered his unlocked truck on June 7 and stole a video recorder worth $400.

Deputies arrested a 42-year-old Spade Road man June 7 for domestic violence. He was accused of kicking in the front door of his home while his girlfriend was closing it, and also threatening the woman with bodily harm. He was booked into the Summit County Jail.

A Walnut Street woman told deputies that while she was hosting a bonfire at her home June 4 someone got into her purse and stole a bottle of prescription medication.

A 27-year-old Steese Road man was arrested June 5 for domestic violence following an argument with his girlfriend over household chores. The woman said he grabbed her around the neck and slammed her into a bed, and then threatened her with bodily harm.

On June 7, an Organ Avenue woman complained that a young man continually raced up and down her street. One time when she yelled at him to slow down, he flipped her the middle finger. An officer located the suspect, an 18-year-old of East Turkeyfoot Lake Road, and charged him with disorderly conduct.
